My favourite thing about communications is turning complex, abstract ideas into clear, compelling stories that engage people and inspire action. For more than 15 years, I’ve helped nonprofits, healthcare organizations, and companies communicate with clarity and purpose to achieve their goals – and loved (almost) every minute of it!
Whether I’m developing national communications strategies, managing multi-channel campaigns, writing impactful content, or responding to a crisis, I make sure every message is focused, aligned, accessible, and human. I’m passionate about building trust, fostering understanding, and connecting people. I see this as my own way of driving the change I want to see in the world and the communities around me, one piece of communication at a time.
- Leading high-impact initiatives, including full website redesigns that increased traffic by more than 40%, like the one I led for Outward Bound Canada in 2024.
- Building high-performing teams and scaling operations, such as co-founding a PR and content marketing agency that grew from one client to 50+ and a 10-person team in four years, all in the challenging economic and political climate of Brazil.
- Crafting clear, accessible storytelling that led to tangible results, such as securing a $200,000 federal grant and writing top-performing fundraising emails.
- Creating brand voices from scratch, developing systems to keep messaging consistent, and managing complex projects, from annual reports and website content to grant applications and urgent press releases.
- Supporting executives, coaching teams, and leading public engagement initiatives that needed to engage diverse audiences, including managing a volunteer network of 1,300+ people and 45 healthcare partners.
