
My favourite thing about communications is turning complex, abstract ideas into clear, compelling stories that people actually want to read. For more than 15 years, I’ve worked with companies in different industries, healthcare organizations, educational institutions, and nonprofits, helping them communicate with clarity and purpose. What I enjoy most is the challenge of making complicated information feel simple, useful, and human.
Whether I’m developing national communications strategies, managing multi-channel campaigns, writing impactful content, or responding to a crisis, I make sure every message is focused, aligned, accessible, and grounded in what people actually need. I believe clear communication builds trust, supports good decisions, and helps people understand what matters and act on it, no matter who the audience is.
Outside of work, I also write children’s stories inspired by my family, which feels like a natural extension of my storytelling skills and the way I make sense of the world.
Leading high-impact initiatives, including full website redesigns that increased traffic by more than 40 percent, like the one I led for Outward Bound Canada in 2024.
Building and scaling teams, including co-founding a PR and content marketing agency that grew from one client to more than 50 and a 10-person team in four years, all in the challenging economic and political climate of Brazil.
Crafting clear, accessible storytelling that led to tangible results, such as securing a 200,000-dollar federal grant and writing top-performing fundraising and engagement emails.
Creating strong brand voices and systems, developing frameworks to keep messaging consistent, and managing complex projects across channels, from annual reports and website content to grant applications and urgent press releases.
Supporting executives and leading public engagement work, from coaching teams to managing a volunteer network of more than 1,300 people and 45 healthcare partners.
